Making an appointment

We have a large forge in the small village of Londonderry, North Yorkshire. It has history dating back to the 19th century. Huw took over the forge in 1983. Connected to the forge is our "sister business" Londonderry Forge Supplies Ltd, a supply shop of horseshoes and farriery equipment, meaning we always have the appropriate materials for the job. Just off the A1, we are conveniently located, and easy to find for clients travelling from Bedale, Northallerton, Thirsk and Ripon, as well as further afield.

We have a fleet of fully kitted out vans which enables us to travel to your yard. We respectfully ask that if you wish for a farrier to come out to you, there is hard standing e.g. an area of concrete large enough for the farrier, his tools and your horse; electric if required (this will be needed if you would like pins or studs in your shoes); weatherproof cover and somebody available to hold the horse. We generally cover within a 20 mile radius of our base - if you would like to know if we are able to come to you please get in touch.
